If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", check the publisher is Ethereal Network Sciences PBC, then choose More info and Run anyway.
Pick Hytale, press Start, and send your friends the address.
Who can join: anyone with Hytale on PC. To host, you sign in once with your Hytale account, as Hypixel requires for every server.

Yes. Hypixel publishes the dedicated server for anyone to run. Homerun Desktop downloads it, signs it in and runs it on your Windows PC, and gives your friends an address.
What's the difference between Online Play and a server?
Online Play shares the world you're in through a share code, and it closes when you quit. A server runs on its own, keeps one address, and stays up whether or not you're playing.
How do my friends join?
In Hytale, Servers, then Direct Connect. They paste the whole address, including the number after the colon, and connect. Add Server saves it to Favorites for next time.
Do I need a Hytale account to host?
Yes. Hypixel requires every server to be signed in to a Hytale account. Homerun Desktop asks you to sign in once in your browser when you create the server.
Do I need to port forward?
No. Homerun Desktop gives your server a public address through its gateway, so nothing changes on your router. The 5520 port in most guides is for servers set up by hand.
What happens when Hytale updates?
The server updates itself when it starts, so restart it after a patch and it matches the Hytale your friends just updated.
Can I use Hytale mods?
Not yet. Servers run Hypixel's server as it ships. If your group wants mods now, Minecraft on Homerun Desktop runs any Modrinth modpack for free.
How much RAM does a Hytale server need?
At least 4 GB of memory for the server, and more for a bigger group or a bigger world. Homerun Desktop checks your PC before you create the server and tells you if it's short.
Does my PC have to stay on?
While you want the world online, yes. Closing Homerun Desktop leaves the server running in the tray, so you can play Hytale on the same PC.
How much does it cost?
Hytale is $1.99 a month in Homerun Desktop. Premium is $7.99 a month and adds Palworld, Terraria and Valheim, and Minecraft is free.
